Whale Watching Adventure in Maine

I recently went to Maine to see some whales.  Before my whale adventure started I got to learn about Maine. I learned that Maine is a state in the New England region of the northeastern United States.   Maine is known for its scenery.   It is known for its rocky coastline, its low rolling mountains, its heavily forested interior and waterways. It is also known for its seafood cuisine, especially lobsters and claims.
We had a wonderful sunny day during our whale watching adventure.  We traveled about 16 miles off-shore and saw different species of marine Mammals.  We got to see a dozen large pods of Harbor Porpoise splashing at the water surface.  We briefly saw Minke Whales that broke the surface and then disappeared.  We had a great encounter with two large Fin Whales that were feeding.  They came up to the ocean surface for air in between their feedings.

Maine did prove to have beautiful scenery that takes your breath away. I enjoyed taking pictures of it.
